A simple and effective perscription.

The problem with simple prescriptions, it offends all. Someone will see thus prescription and say “what about dairy” another will say “we shouldn’t eat meat” someone may think “but legumes are great too” others will say “what’s wrong with a little sugar” another “keto is a great diet” and over all no one will see its simplicity and effectiveness.

I can see why CrossFit gave this simple prescription, because Nutrition is SO simple. There is one over riding rule if followed your health will dramatically improve instantly. EAT REAL FOOD and only eat real food. If it comes from a factory, if it has been processed in any form, it is not real food. If your great grandparents could not identify it, it’s not real food. If it comes in a package with a label and long list of ingredients, it is not real food. If you can not grow it, gather it or hunt it, it’s not real food.

There are many different nutrition protocols and all have some success. What I have come to believe is the human body can not only survive but thrive on many diets. Our bodies are robust systems that will use many nutrient to survive and thrive. However, foods that have only come to our shelfs in mass production in the past 50 to 100 years are slowly destroying our bodies. Sugar is the public enemy number 1, followed by refined grains and last is seed oils. All three need large farms and factories to produce. Our bodies do not handle them and it will lead to obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

The perception is simple, Eat Real Food.
